Coaching

The club strongly believes in making coaching available to anyone who wants it. All our coaching is run by Dean Cornish and his team, all of whom are LTA qualified professionals. Dean is very experienced, one of Somerset's county coaches and also a very good player - when he can find the time!

Junior Coaching

Children from 4 years old can join our mini tennis programme which is a highly regarded national scheme to take them from beginner and develop their skills.

Mini Reds age 4-8 yrs 9.30-10.30pm
Mini Orange/Green age 8-9 yrs 10.30-11.30pm
Full Court Yellow Ball 11.30-12.30pm

Group coaching classes are held for each level on Saturday mornings in term time, throughout the year. Cost £15 for members and £20 for non members for a five week course.

Performance Squads

Junior members identified with extra ability who are keen to have additional coaching can join small squads for more intensive coaching on Tuesdays 7-9pm, Thursday 7-9pm or Wednesday 5.15-7.15pm in term time. These squads are by invitation only.

Development Squads

Juniors who want to develop their technique and tactics can join these squads:
Under 10 Girls Monday 4.15-5.15pm
Under 16 Boys Thursday 5.15-6.15pm

Adults

Rusty Rackets Beginner class runs during term time 7.30pm-9pm every Wednesday.

Advanced coaching course also operates on Wednesday evening 7.30pm-9pm suitable for more experienced players.

Individual Lessons
The coaches are available for one to one or one to two coaching by request.

Holiday Courses

Mini tennis courses open to both members and non-members are run during the Easter and summer holidays.
